At least it wasn't a surprise, ita. A month or two of downtime isn't necessarily a bad thing given your health, but I can incredibly sympathize with the "bleeding money" part of the equation.
On the plus side, I applied for seven jobs yesterday... some of them, I'm even qualified for! This is important because I've been a little too intimidated to actually try that for the past month. Even though I've been drawing from my savings to live and all.

I firmly believe in needing a vacation after your vacation.
ita, are your parents still here?
The students are arriving in town this weekend. It's not safe to be out.

Perkins, OMG he loved them. Of course he does not get half of it, but the silliness and slapstick was loved. btw - disk 2 was missing.

YAY.
Huh. I suspect it may still be at Chez Smay. At least I hope so, because otherwise I have no idea.

Welcome, Welcome ,one and all to the Niles Annual flea Market and Antique Sale weekend ( officially Sunday) It began with the ice cream social on our block -- that turned into a grill fest and ended with a scotch tasting. The party was supposed to start at 630--- but people showed up at 6 . I live in a good neighborhood. The dealer are out in their vans looking for bargains. Today there will be much selling and haggling. Tonight the kick off part where everyone bring food and drink and gets sent back home at midnight. At midnight the volunteers prepare to let the vendors in and and close down main street. As early as 4 am the bargain hunters show up -- and the pancake breakfast happens. More selling happens -- everyone goes to bed and the scavengers stat looking for the freebies. Monday morning - brunch at a friends house. Monday night - celebrate my BIL's birthday.
on Tuesday we work?

Timelies all!
I have no plans this weekend, except watching my Netflixs disk of "Gigantic: A Tale of two Johns".
