“Not dead yet!”

Hanna Andersson is having a Back To School sale. Being Hanna, the sales prices aren't great but they do have some decent prices on leggings.

Abby needed a new hoodie so I splurged on the obscenely bright colorblock one. I'll never lose her in a crowd.

My boss just sent an e-mail out telling us to have a wonderful weekend, but also to inform us that the managers are no longer authorized to send employees home early on a holiday weekend. Damn.

So, that's permission to just leave without asking then?

She also believes Intelligent Design should be taught in schools.

So she's a creationist too? That's just awesome.

How much longer did Obama's speech go after he started talking about MLK? My TiVo cut off just when he started to go all preacher.

I imagine the TiVo has a limit on the amount of hope it can record.

No, the e-mail was to update the others in my department to start including me when things are added to our job runs so I know to look for them. The "have a great weekend" was just to say "enjoy the weather." The update on the change in policy for managers was to tell us to work our normal hours.

Like I said, damn.

As for Palin, not only is she a creationist, but she's in the middle of some serious hot water for trying to get one of her department heads to fire a state trooper who just happens to be her BIL who is currently in a very bitter divorce with Palin's sister. When the dept. head refused, she fired his ass instead.

Nothing says family values better than trying to fire your brother-in-law.

Here's a more complete look at Palin and her tenure as governor, as well as her potential pluses to the McCain campaign.

Well, trying to get someone else to do it for you.

It will be interesting to see how she does on a national stage, if she comes across as a lightweight it could be pretty bad for McCain. I don't know anything about her, she may well come across as a strong leader. Time will tell.
