Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

She doesn't start until after Labor Day?

I had no idea that there were school systems that still did that - pretty cool.

The schools in my town always started the Wednesday after Labor Day, unless Labor Day ended up really late that year. I'm pretty sure they still do it that way. (I just checked the calendar on the town website, and that's the way they're doing it this year.)

Oh, Al. Go on with your bad self, dude. You're making me proud.

I'll have been working here 11 years on Tuesday. Celebrated with my first solo build. Fun.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had no idea that there were school systems that still did that - pretty cool.

I still think it's weird when places don't! My coworker's kid started today, which I think is really weird -- two days on, three days off?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

She doesn't start until after Labor Day?

Yep, Wednesday after. My sister's kids start on Tuesday.

Sigh. I do like Gore. Shame about 2000.

Isn't it just?

School always started in the first 2 weeks of August. Still does down there. If we ran at all into June, we were resentful.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh, Al. Go on with your bad self, dude. You're making me proud.

Indeed. Delighted to be at home for a chance. With feet up. Watching the beautiful evening in Denver. Whee! I didn't even know Gore was going to speak. It is just one surprise after another for me.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I was laughing at the MSNBC panel o' pundits dancing to Stevie Wonder. Well, everyone except Pat Buchanan, but he did have shades on.

This weekend: Saturday, I don't know; Sunday: donating platelets; Monday: getting together with a friend and his family at the Illinois Rail Museum for fun with trains and a picnic.

Gawd. Now I need to switch it off until the pundits stop.
