I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

We spent the day at a u-pick farm. we got 2 pints of blueberries, 2 quarts of raspberries, some corn, beets, cherry tomatos, cucumbers, bell peppers, apples, basil, and a cantalope! so fun!

of course we leave in 1.5 days so most of it will just travel back to the city with us, but we might make a dent in it, between salad tonight, blueberry pancakes in the morning, and maybe corn tomorrow night.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Oooh, I'm taking a half-day off tomorrow afternoon--maybe I'll head over to Harvard, IL (aka, the boonies) and pick up some supersweet corn and other assorted goodies.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Awww, the users have such sad little puppy eyes when I tell them that I can't fix things for which they're responsible for them.

(I'm sure internet posting board discussions are legally binding)

Especially when done under an assumed name, "Trudy Booth"!!

Aww, Del Martin died. Still, so amazing that she and Phyllis Lyon were able to legally marry after 55 years together.

Yeah, I posted that in Bitches. So sad, but I'm glad they were able to marry before that. :( And glad nobody was able to take it away this time, before she died. Hrmph!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Dude -- eat the corn tonight! Eat it right now! Never eat corn that was picked yesterday, if you can help it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Wait, her doctor told you and not her?

The doctor told my father who discussed it with us.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Never eat corn that was picked yesterday, if you can help it.

Mmmm... fresh corn.

My dad would generally plant about 40 acres of corn each season. Most was field corn, but about an acre or two would be sweet corn for us to eat.

Does anyone here call it "sweet corn"?

THANK YOU.

Now I wish I had fresh corn. I hate grocery store corn, but love farm corn.

Yes, but I'm from Indiana. So, mostly only if I'm back home and getting it from a farm stand would I call it that. Probably not so much if I was like, going to the grocery store here, or something.
