Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Sending you lots of support. Yay for extra time. And for some extra sleep.

Someone talk me down from the ledge. My house will sell even if there's a stain on the counter, right?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Go Nilly! (all-purpose support and cheering you on)

Pete, the others got to it before me, but pothos and aspidistra are hardy (my mother had a pothos on the side of the jacuzzi in her bathroom and the vine extended all the way around and, when she wasn't noticing, it literally climbed the wall - we pulled it off and some of the paint came with it ... tenacious little thing).

David, I saw someone on the bus the other day and was thinking how you'd LOVE her hair - dark, very thick, cut in an angled bob (extreme angle - chin length in front, above the nape in back) with thick bangs and the nape was cut into a V. Very striking.

Art Crawl!!!

While I was at the dentist, they had HGTV on the tv and it was some "green" design program and they mentioned (I swear) Ivy as a very good air cleaning plant.

Dana, if you figure out the house selling mojo, please to be sharing. Don't wanna be a downer, but mine is still sitting on the market with nary an offer.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My very kind and considerate PhD supervisor managed to get me an extension of two weeks in my dissertation deadline, due to all the computer problems I experienced in the last few weeks.

Oh, that's got to be a relief!

My house will sell even if there's a stain on the counter, right?

Yes.

This is such a relief. Now if we could figure out a way to help you get your work done and some sleep!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm so glad, Nilly.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Yay for Nilly's kind and considerate PhD supervisor. I hope we still get more late-night Nilly, though.

My house will sell even if there's a stain on the counter, right?

Yes. (Have you tried paper towels soaked in bleach?)

I was thinking about bleach. The cleaning crew, who did an otherwise great job, responded to the message I left them yesterday with "Yeah, tried to get it out, sorry."
