"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My nape is bare.

gah!

And I think the batteries in the camera may be dead.

Surely the remote can spare a few batteries to capture this moment!

What about stealing batteries from somebody else then?

Stealing is okay in this instance, I'm pretty sure.

Oatmeal bath, Jesse? FTR, anytime I do get a bit more sun than I should, it gets a little rashy. Not benadryl worthy, but that's only for a slight tan. I moisturize like hell and get grumbly.

Frustrates me because I do look better with a wee bit of color. However, I'm being careful because I already have enough sun damage on my face, and 17 years at 4K ft at southerly latitudes shows. I did not inherit enough of my father's dark-swede-tanning-not-wrinkling skin (at least not on my upper half. Arms and legs do ok.) I got more of mom's freckly sun-averse irish mutt skin. Josh got Dad's.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Well, yeah, and you have to find a place to evacuate to, food supplies etc for while you are there, and then once you've laid out all that money and time, it's just a ton of rain and some wind. There ain't no FEMA check for that.

Word.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm suspicious. There better not be a multi-state battery shortage that mysteriously prevents picture taking until someone's hair "grows back."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm mostly annoyed due to vanity -- it's not that itchy, but it's really ugly! Oh well.

My minion is going to have a surprise when she gets in tomorrow -- I just forwarded her a ton of emails from my backlog for her to deal with! It's no rush for her, but it went so much faster from this computer.

So, I could use some advice from those of you who know a bit about plants...

I'm looking for a houseplant to help oxygenate my really stuffy art studio. Here's what I'm looking for;

  • Low maintenance.
  • Doesn't grow too much. Not more than 2 feet tall is good.
  • Low to zero scent.
  • Doesn't attract spiders.
  • Doesn't require much light, because it really ain't going to get it.

This is probably a tall order, but don't ask, don't get, right?
