"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, dear, I know all of this, because you explained it so well in your emails the first time I tried to understand how this board works.

I'm just afraid that my brain will explode trying to keep track of threads and posts, if I'll add another tiny thread to my message center. Staying out of touch with a computer for more than 48 hours now seems quite impossible. It's like the term Fisheye.co.il uses, MMA (initials in Hebrew for Terrifying New Posts Monster).

ita, there's another "b", for "boo insomnia!".

Shir, um, how to break this to you? I don't think anybody keeps up. Skip and skim is your friend. Also, threadsucking. I personally love the message center, even if it tells me that I'm thousands of posts behind in the literary thread, for example, I still enjoy knowing that it's there and waiting for me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Urk. Okay, maybe now I can sleep. I wish I had Benadryl or something non-narcotic and drowse-inducing around.

I used to read every post. Those days are LONG gone. Damned proliferation.

ita, I wish that by the time I type this, you'll already be asleep.

It's not fair that while one person fights every fiber of her being to stay awake, another has such a struggle to actually sleep. This is not the sort of balance I like.

I used to read every post.

I almost added "maybe other than ita" in my former post. Then I remembered that you once said that you had skipped, so I believed you and didn't.

In Natter I think I've skipped three times, and two of those were in the past month. The headaches and the medication are taking my life two days at a time every now and again and that's part of me accomoddating.

I am so screwed tomorrow!

I think that the first time in, oh, I don't even know how long, that I actually skim in Natter and not just skip to the end for a couple of posts and another *poof*, is this last month (or two), with the almost 24/6 (minus shabbat) sitting in front of the computer and needing at least something on it that not only works but doesn't seem like it's out to get me.

I'm so sorry that the thing that's keeping you around is also wringing you dry. If you start to have reflexive negative associations with b.org, I will come over and beat up your PhD. But I do like having you around, and seeing you and Shir post is especially cute.

Whoo! Found Benadryl! I really should clean out my drug collection. I think I have at least one of everything.

If you start to have reflexive negative associations with b.org

No worries. If anything, that's the thing that gives the positive spin on these difficult weeks. I *love* being able to actually know what's going on with y'all that's not "Beep Me".

I will come over

Hmm, wait - if I whine enough, does that mean you'll come to Israel? Now I wonder if it's worth it, just for hosting you.

seeing you and Shir post is especially cute

Yay! And in English, too (which I still find funny).

Okay. Gonna try it again. The Benadryl can start anytime now.

Hopefully I won't be back for...four hours. Whee.

Night, ita!

I hope your sleep will be rich in quality, if not in quantity.
