I mean, let's say you did kill us. Or didn't. There could be torture. Whatever. But somehow you found the goods. What would your cut be?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'll switch back to Benadryl, Tep. You're right.

I'm not trying to be a bitch, but according to the FDA, it's acetaminophen, not ibuprofen, that causes liver damage.

My whole family, being big drinkers, dropped Tylenol like a hot potato when the news about its potential for liver damage came out, back in the day. We gotta have our priorities in order.

I don't think you're being bitchy. i'm not at all surprised to find out that my PCP was wrong. i knew acetaminophen caused liver damage, which was why i'd been taking the ibuprofen. so i was surprised when he told me that, but didn't think any more of it. especially when i found my One True Headache Medicine.

tiggy, it doesn't sound like you take a lot of excedrin, though. The amount you take -- unless you wash it down with a keg o'beer -- isn't enough to damage your liver. It's just high levels of acetaminophen, or combining acetaminophen with alcohol, that can whammy the liver.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Ibuprofen is supposed to attack the kidneys, right? That's what M was told when he donated one of his, so he only takes Tylenol (and rarely, at that).

I am unsurprised by the rebound headaches (and pain) that go on when I stop my Advil - same thing happens when I go off of caffeine. I just try to go cold-turkey every 4 months or so (off of Advil - go ahead and try to pry my morning coffee out of my cranky, sleepy fingers - I will cut you. Sleepily).

oh no, i'd been taking acetaminophen before the ibuprofen in much the same way. 4 pills about 3 times a day. switched to ibuprofen when i heard the news about acetaminophen. then the doc told me (wrong!) information about ibuprofen, which led to me trying excedrin.

Yeah, I was told that if I have to use an OTC for a headache (mind you, this is just b/c of migraines, not for other random pains) to use naproxen (Aleve).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I actually think what gives me a headache most of the time is going between the laptop screen and the tv screen for hours on end. So I could maybe not do that, too.

Yeah, but *now* -- didn't you say that the way you take excedrin is 1 or 2 for a headache, and then if you need it, 1 or 2 more after about 4 hours? That's totally okay.
