That was a fun ride.

How quick is quick for you, Sean? People had exchanges here, and then there was a wee aftershock, but I'm having difficulty estimating an actual duration. 15s? Long enough for people to get under desks and yell at others for not doing it too.
This is weird. Was it really that big? Should I call daycare? (Odd, it really didn't feel like much here, but 5.8 is not so wee, is it?)
Dude! I hope all our LAistas can check in!
You want I should send Vampire People to them?
That's very tempting. I guess I can always bring them my copy, if they're curious.
Whoa! Stuff fell off shelves, but other than that all is okay here at work. It was the frst earthquake for one of our employees, and she was a bit freaked.

Yeah, about 15 seconds or so. It seemed short to me, but that's only in reference to the one other quake I've ever felt of about that magnitude. The shaking that night seemed to go on for close to a minute.
I hope my alcohol's safe. I've just overheard a couple people calling home and finding out about broken mirrors et al.
Nothing's broken here, though a couple of things fell off of shelves.
It's next to impossible to get cell phone calls or text messages to go through right now.
I forgot my mobile at home today. I hope my Mom isn't freaking. I did send off an email immediately.
Tim is alive. Beagles barked. The end.
