Our wings are not tired.

Oh, Kat, that's just way too weird!!

Chile could be kindsa everything; the vet's best guess is Shiba Inu & "extras".

And how big is she? About 35 pounds, I think. She's definitely at least 10 lbs heavier than the purebred Shibas we've encountered.

HA. I'd guess she's part jindo based on her size. With something else, based on her ears. Lots of jindo photos.

Jindo page. Kuma is pretty atypical jindo in some senses, but in terms of personality (stubborn, for example) is right on.

And lori has an almost exact version of this picture except we were at Zion instead and his head was much further out.

So funny. It's like the same dog life!

Oh you're right. She could totally be a Jindo! Other than size, I don't see much difference between the Shibas and the Jindos.

Which one snores more? And likes frozen broccoli? Therein could lie the answer.

Bwahaha! Dogs squashing their own heads!
The "free" entertainment is limitless, isn't it?

The biggest difference other than size is in the face shape (shibas tend towards a tighter/sharper pointed faces) and bark (shibas are usually sort of high pitched, where jindos have a deeper bark, but that could be size dependent). Kuma almost never barks.

I'm trying to remember if he snores at all, and I can't remember. If he did, it was nothing compared to what Bear would do.

javachik, thanks for the Dylan picture!

Our wings are not tired.

Ask anyone who came to Suzi's going away brunch; after the very first guests arrived (Katie B and Javacat), Chile didn't make a peep. It was wonderful.

You're welcome, Nilly!

Wow, Brandi Carlile sings for a hybrid commerical. And I think it's a GM car. I usually only watch dvds and stuff through Tivo, so I guess I am a commercial newbie.

Brandi is the sexiest singer I've ever seen live. Second to her is the lead singer for Rilo Kiley.

Chile and Kuma are doppeldogs!

He doesn't snore, but does boop in his sleep when he dream-barks.
