What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

Coding and Sleeping

Steak and Ale disappeared from here a long time ago. I sort of liked them, they were dark and had a lot of walls.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Allyson, that book sounds adorable. And I suspect there's a certain perky-goth Seattle-ista who's going to go positively...ahem...batty over it.

I haven't been this excited and terrified about writing in a very long time. I'm so nervous.

shrift! You want I should send Vampire People to them?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Bennigans? I have a soft spot for them--I was addicted to their godawful chicken quesadillas for quite a while.

Know who else is supposed to disappear? Kinkos. FedexKinkos is supposed to take them off the signage, although I don't think any closures are planned. More nostalgia for me, of about the same period.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Isn't he also the guy who wouldn't back down on building the bridge o' pork, aka the bridge to nowhere?

Yes, yes he is. Also, bringing a Cray II into the Geophysical Institute to crunch data in order to see if the Northern Lights have any harnessable energy.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Good luck, shrift!!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

The Bennigan's story was all over the news this morning. I haven't been to one in a while, so it won't be any big for me, but I did like their burgers.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Yay, shrift!!!!!

Bennigan's and Steak and Ale going out of business!

There was the random rogue Stake and Ale still in existence (I found one in Tampa). The Bennigan's in Ocala was struggling. WH and I went there for lunch a couple weeks ago and it was pretty empty. I'll miss their potato soup and Turkey O'Tool sandwich.
