All my dance classes were canceled this weekend, so I'm feeling kinda restless, which was why I was planning on the gym. At least I walked a bunch today. I also had plans for later today that got rescheduled again, which kinda bites. Especially since I look really pretty today, other than the cupcake hangover. I got a haircut and gave myself a manicure, and last night I took a long bath and gave myself a facial. I feel so girly! And yet...all dressed up with nowhere to go, you know?

No, dressage is one of the three parts of the event -- it's just that they're not specialists in it, and they tend to pay less attention to dressage than the other parts, and so they're *way* less good than the real dressage specialists.

Eventing is in three phases:
dressage, cross-country and show jumping.
Then there is the separate sport of Dressage and the other separate sport of Show Jumping. The sort of performances you see in the specialized areas are at a much higher level then what you see in the phases of eventing.
(When they said, for example, that this was the first time that they had flying changes in dressage - they meant that it was the first time that eventers were doing flying changes. . . clearly the dressage specialists have been expected to do flying changes - even much more difficult ones for years.)

Men's swimming: I'm so happy for this Korean kid who fell in 4 years ago! When he was FOURTEEN YEARS OLD. Crikey. I wasn't paying attention, so I'm assuming the American wasn't the favorite, which is why even the announcers seemed happy for Park.
Do we need to whitefont results?
