Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, please. My teeth were breaking out of the blue before I was 25. And it hasn't happened since.

surely all the athletes could just wear thongs for our enjoyment, right?

Well, just so we know what people in good shape SHOULD look like. Since as Americans, we may not be familiar with that look. IJS. :)

“Not dead yet!”

Is there a minimum age for the Olympics, or for any sports other than gymnastics and figure skating? I know that the minimum gymnastics age is 16, but I've heard a few 14- and 15-year-olds mentioned in other sports.

Hil, the age minimums are determined by each sport's individual federation. So, with skating, for example, they go by what the ISU dictates.

Okay, think about what you're saying y'all. Do you really want to see that guy from Guam in a thong? Or some of the female Bulgarian weightlifters?

Moderation in all things, people.

I was kidding. I tend to want more clothing on people most of the time.

Oh, msbelle, congrats on your free night!

And if I didn't say it before, wow, Allyson!

I kinda went back to sleep. Mostly lay in bed and listened to the radio.

I have not used IM either! Well, there was that once, but I was on someone else's computer and felt compelled to respond lest the querier think my friend was ignoring her!

My mom's eyesight is improving as she gets older. Considering she probably started needing glasses at birth, this is a pleasant surprise.

Yeah, I know. Of course, teasing back is its own punishment-- I'm now brainwormed with images of the guy from Guam in a thong. The downside of a very vivid imagination. *g*

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My eyesight tends to get worse in spurts lately. From ages 10 through 16 or so, I usually needed a new prescription at least once a year. Then it settled down to every two years. The past few years, it's kind of been that my eyesight stays the same for about three years, and then suddenly gets worse.
