A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

It depends, Nilly. I live on the border between two states, so I am applying for jobs in both states, so...anywhere between August 7th and about August 18th.

It's funny about pink. I wore a pink dress in my senior picture for high school, and then I absolutely, adamently refused pink until I was about 32, even though it's a great color for me. I think I was too cool for pink, at least in my own head. Now, I have tons of it.

I also wore a lot of peach in the 80's --remember how popular it was? I have it on in my sophomore and junior yearbook pictures. I haven't worn peach since 1988. It has two much yellow in it for me, and I wore it only because it was a popular color. How things changed. I was also blonde in high school, and I have been a redhead since my freshmen year of college, so I think that makes a difference.

But I think if I went back to blonde today, I STILL wouldn't wear peach. Horrible associations.

neighbor-smiting robots

Our neighbors recently took down their American flag that was reduced to scraps, which is nice. They put up a brand new confederate battle flag in its place. They still aren't doing anything about their free roaming dog.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I wear pink all the time, and I also think it is not my best color.

I had a peach outfit in 1988 that I LOVED-- it was a peach mock neck tshirt with shoulder pads and a (really lovely) long peach skirt with pleats in the back (near the kick pleat area. I also think I had peach shoes to match. I thought it was the height of fashion. I now HATE peach. As it, I actually discarded almost all of the peach costumes we had in stock!

See? I'm just saying there's a market.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

because she's smart enough to not post stuff she shouldn't be doing on Facebook anyway.

See this is the key. I think he and his friends lack that component. One of my friends in L.A. invited me to join facebook, so I put up a placeholder. She just got married so it was a great way to share wedding photos. OTOH, a NY friend emailed me to look him up on facebook and I hesitate. Maybe I should explore it a little more.

Swouncing

The schoolyear starting on different dates is more confusing to my poor little head than the whole concept of timezones. Silly me.

I have no idea what colors are good for me. I mean, I guess I can tell if something is pretty on somebody else - um, when that somebody else wears it, not as a theoretical thought, as some of you manage to pull off - but I can't explain it with words other than "I like this" or "I liked that other one better".

Maybe I should explore it a little more.

One of my students found me on Facebook. Instead of getting into all that thinking and debating with myself, I just created another account (with my last name as my first name, and the first as the last), and responded to him through that.

I'm going to have to have someone else objectively look sometime. I just held up red, aqua, light blue, and hot pink and all of them made me look tired. Might also be because I am tired. I have dark brown hair (if it were natural), brown eyes, and medium skin. The only color that I get a compliment on every single time is a dark salmon colored tee.

Instead of getting into all that thinking and debating with myself, I just created another account (with my last name as my first name, and the first as the last), and responded to him through that.

That's a really great idea Nilly! I tend to overthink stuff. Alot.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Toby Keith is rich. But he is not what people are thinking about when they refer to the upper class. If anything, a title like "White Trash with Money" is basically a message to his fans saying, "I'm rich, but I'm still just like you ."

Yup, that is the message, but the message is not true. And in fact Toby knows. One of the things he is quoted as saying "Daddy used to say we aren't rich enough to vote republican. Well, Daddy, I am!"

Yeah, American ideas of what class is, and is not let multi-millionare from a billionaire family get elected as working class salt-of-the-earth guy because he chewed pork rinds! But that screwed up ideas about class got George Bush elected does not make them true. It just makes them a way to evade the subject.

Since peach is my best color, I loved that part of '80s fashion! It drove me nuts that I couldn't find it for most of the '90s. My favorite peach outfit in the late '80s was one of those wide-at-the-shoulders-narrows-at-the-knees dresses, complete with shoulder pads and dolman sleeves to add to the volume on top. Loved the dress, and was pissed when it finally got stained and I couldn't get the stain out, so I had to toss it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's not so much that it's pink that makes me wonder (I'm wearing pink and brown into work today), but the whole pink and yellow thing--that's outside my previous scope.
