I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It was part of the fireworks...they had 29 giant footsteps going from the older part of the city? area? But there was no way anyone could see the whole walk, since it was blocks per step.

One of them said it was "literally cinematic" or something, that made me wonder if it was real fireworks afterall, or just for TV, or just light, or something.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm finding the Silverlight player to be surprisingly good (at least compared to most online players -- no, it's not as good as the HD). And the install was pretty painless, assuming the machine is new enough to install it. Anyway, no way around it if you want any of the online video.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

This is a very schizoid watch and post. I should probably at least take the laptop into the room with the TV. It just feels so new money, though, you know?

Heh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I should note--there are worse things than tacky, and new money doesn't even mean you have to be tacky. So give me some.

God, I'm gorging on that bottled lemonade again. When will I learn.

I loved that the printing press was people. And it occurs to me that not only is that a huge-assed screen, it's got people dancing on it.

Wait, '78? We got to 1978 over the break? Cheaters.

OK, that was worth waiting up for.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Okay, this is just fricking awesome. It's going to be hard for any country to top this flame lighting ceremony.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's going to be hard for any country to top this flame lighting ceremony.

Dude, in Australia an archer lit it from hundreds of feet away.

My god, what it took to manage that "run!" NICE.

And really, China's ceremony rocked ass, regardless of their politics. Showed the best.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Guam has a judo guy who's over 300 pounds. I want someone to tell him he's out of shape.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall at that moment.
