Xander: I still don't get why we came here to get info about a killer snot monster. Giles: Because it's a killer snot monster from outer space. I did not say that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm beind and maybe missed that, but are those actually light-up ancient drums? So fun!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

(I was supposed to be taking a nap before a women's sabre all-nighter. Not happening.)

(US women are 3 of the top 4 in the rankings; 2 of the 3 are old clubmates of some friends of mine. So what if it's the time of year when I don't sleep?)

I know! It pays off that it's a small damn sport -- it's not like we're anywhere near the same league as the top people, but they're all at 2 degrees through clubmates, or refereeing, or coaches we know in common, or whatev. You just don't *know* people in more popular sports in the same way.

Freaky blob birds.

The symbolism in the production is interesting. Idealized and problematic given the politics, but interesting.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I, uh, did math. And, proportional to population, the 15,000 performers would be 73 people in France.

The sparkly green people immediately flashed me on the algae bloom problem in the sailing venues they had just a little while ago.
