What if, say, you're a witness to something, but not a suspect? Or is it possible the cops might pretend that you're not a suspect, but you really are, so you still shouldn't talk to the police without a lawyer even if you're just a witness (as far as you know)?
Natter 60: Gone In 60 Seconds
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Erin! It's been forever since I posted with you. How are you doing?
Nilly!! Hi, sweetie. Yeah, my internet is what we would call...sporadic, so I dash on and off like a married boyfriend.
I am doing well. I am looking frantically for another teaching position before the school year starts (loong story).
Laundry is my least favorite chore. I hate it. Which is probably why I have a wee Mt. Everest of dirty clothes a-building on my closet floor. It will form a little island in a while.
Sounds like you are super busy! Drink water. Stay hydrated.
Nobody has any colour palette answers for me? Yay? Nay?
You know, I should just not be shopping instead. That's much more sensible. I should go iron today's skirt.
Allyson, that is adorable! i can't wait to read more.
Special tommyrot lolcat: [link]
Oh fuck, that is hysterical!
Oh, Toddson, I owe you an answer from the last Natter thread: Hebrew computers can have two options: either the English one, which is exactly like any English-speaking computer, or entirely in Hebrew - not just the letters, but all words are translated too (not just transliterated).
Compatibility and switching between the languages is a huge issue, because it's written right-to-left (much like Arabic), much more than translating or having the actual letters (even though their shapes is so different from the English characters).
It's still way easier than having a computer in Chinese, though.
ita, I say yay because I like the shape etc. the pink is a little too orange, and not icy enough. It won't look great on you, but it won't make you look sallow either.
Hee--I saw that LOLcat last night and immediately thought of tommyrot!!
Allyson, love the idea of Sam the bat's bat adventures!! Want to see it in print asap.
My mom leaves heaps and heaps of laundry for me to fold (and iron), because she loves my folding (which is very flattering, in its way).
I'm not a big fan of folding, but I can get in an ironing zone. Set me up with an ironing board in front of a tv and a basket full of wrinkly clothes, and I'll have them done for you within an hour or two (depending on the amount of clothes). That's how I did my ironing in college (when I wore lots of cotton clothes that required ironing right out of the dryer)--I'd let them pile up and get them all done at once. I'd do my mom's all the time when I last lived at her place.
See, Kat, I was just about to say I think it's too pale and too yellow. I think it'll make ita look washed out. Which is too bad, cause it's super-pretty.
