It feels like he's disrespecting me
Does he talk like that to other people? Then it's not that he's disrespecting *you*, but rather that for him, this tone doesn't mean disrespect?
(It's so hard to differentiate between an act, and what stands behind it, isn't it? But I tend to think that as long as you're not 100% sure what's the intent behind the act, it's better to deal with just the act itself, not the possible-maybe-personal-interpretation behind it.)
Is there anything fun and relaxing you can do until there's light and actual morning? Maybe not sleep, but at least something else that's nice?
Well, there's Natter.
I don't really feel bad at the moment. There's just knowing that around 3 pm at work I'm gonna feel like I took a brick to the back of my head weighing on my mind. But tomorrow I can sleep in, so it'll all work out.
And the guy just doesn't know how to write "I don't agree with you" in not insulting way.
Yeah, this sort of thing is a pain in the ass to deal with—sorry.
Humm, where's the post I've just sent?
Edit: ohwellnevermind

Oy. Then again, if it has to happen, at least it'll be with a proper timing, before the weekend, right?

Have you tried looking under the sofa? [Edit: x-post, of course.]
Sorry.
Hi Nilly, Shir, Calli. I am up too early.
I can understand why NBC wants to show the opening ceremonies in Prime Time, but why do the people on Today have to pretend it's not happening now?

That's like pretending the world isn't round.
ION, I have to go to work, but there's a comfy kitty on my lap who won't be happy about that....
shir, I wish I could loan you my DH. He has a particular gift for verbally taking down arrogant colleagues.
Second breakfast is a latte and cheese danish at Starbucks while I reacharge my phone.
Morning, Sue! [Edit: and tommy!]

I remember, as a very little girl, waking up way early in the not-yet-morning to watch - I think it was the closing ceremonies of the Olympic games held in LA? And of course, while the sun was setting there, it was rising here. And I remember the awe of looking up from the tv screen to the window and seeing the sky, which was black just a few minutes before, and was turning lighter and gray-er and blu-er, and how it hit me that it's the same sun - that the same sun setting *there*, is rising *here*. I think it was the first time I didn't just know, but actually realized, that the world was round.
