Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Um....

Sexual harassment okay as it ensures humans breed, Russian judge rules

A Russian advertising executive who sued her boss for sexual harassment lost her case after a judge ruled that employers were obliged to make passes at female staff to ensure the survival of the human race.

...

The judge said he threw out the case not through lack of evidence but because the employer had acted gallantly rather than criminally.

"If we had no sexual harassment we would have no children," the judge ruled.

Well, maybe you wouldn't have children....

...

Only two women have won sexual harassment cases since the collapse of the Soviet Union, one in 1993 and the other in 1997.

Damn.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Because the human species is so underpopulated and has such a low birth rate that only philandering bosses stand between us and extinction?

Yeah, the rich are hurting too. Lucky for them they've had 40 years for the gap between rich and poor to grow to record levels before this....

Swouncing

it's pretty difficult to find in supermarkets here

Oh, how strange. Here it's in pretty much every supermarket, in little paper bags, like baking powder.

I use it in everything I want sweetened, mostly replacing some of the regular sugar in recipes, because I like its flavor.

Art Crawl!!!

I'm having such back luck with handbags - on Saturday I actually pulled the handle out of the one I'd been using and then this morning, I did the same thing to the next bag. WTF? I don't believe I've ever done that before AND this was only the 2nd day I'd used the second bag AT ALL. (It was a gift.)

So, I need a new bag. Or at least to start looking around for one. I've been browsing on ebags and feel uninspired - any suggestions?

Pictured: The massive 8ft eagle that chases tennis balls in the ultimate game of fetch

Also a video.

I want an eagle. Except for the part where occasionally it accidentally cuts its owner's hand and he has to go to the hospital.

eta:

It's the ultimate game of fetch, but with a difference - it's played with an eagle.

Evie, a stunning white-tailed sea eagle, has taken a liking to tennis and enjoys nothing more than flying after balls thrown by her proud owner George Hedges.

As part of her favourite game, the stunning bird-of-prey deploys her massive 8ft wingspan to hurtle after the balls, either catching them in mid-air or swooping to seize them from ponds.

He also may buy a hybrid to supplement the two Mercedes Benzes in his heated four-car garage. And, he's driving less these days.

When are people going to realize that buying a new car to save on gas generally does not make economic sense?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday Fred Pete!

I'm also probably not the best person to speak to the gambling either, because while I do, it's limited to either nickel (or penny, if available) video slots which are silly and entertaining, or as low limit blackjack as I can find, where I am more interested in the people watching and conversations than I am in the game. I never expect to win, and I set very firm limits on how much I can lose before I have to walk away.

eta: Which is not to say I don't enjoy it, just that I'm probably not your typical gambler.
