Jayne (Husband): Oh, I think you might wanna reconsider that last part. See, I married me a powerful ugly creature. Mal (Wife): How can you say that? How can you shame me in front of new people? Jayne (Husband): If I could make you purtier, I would. Mal (Wife): You are not the man I met a year ago.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Are they going to use LEDs for lighting?

They totally should! But the fuel should be Unleaded.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The truth is out there... um... somewhere....

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Actually, the club I went to in Vegas (not the Double Down) used fresnel-style cans with a bunch of LEDs in them - they looked kind of like LiteBrites, but they were effective at getting a color cast without making the stage too bright (or too hot). The LEDs were only positioned on what would be the proscenium arch (have to be close, LEDs don't have much throw), and the rest were standard instruments. It was pretty cool. I thought. I was also in Vegas and had already drank a goodly portion of a Warp Core Breach and a Borgsphere, so my judgment could have been suspect. It happens. But I remember being very excited about the LED lights at the time.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I just had to write that your Vegas stories and pictures makes me wanna go there.

And I never had a thing for Vegas. Ever. Until now.

Also, timelies.

It's the kind of place that I can really only be in for about 48 hours. Any more than that, and I start getting way cranky/depressed. Its reason for being is completely artificial, and that makes some deep part of me jumpy. (Also, I don't really gamble, so that part is lost on me. Perkins can speak to that part.)

But, as a way to blow off some steam, see good friends, make new friends, see crazy rock shows, watch roller girls, and stay out way too late? It's brilliant.

Also, hi!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Japanese garden! Oh, if there were a chance to draw there...how lovely. Someone please work it so that I can take some time off before getting a decent gig. And that if I haven't been these places by the two separate (yeah, Kat) times my parents come visit in the next month or so we can prop each other up and go looksee.

Yes, that, but I couldn't really write it because I never was there so I can't judge. Also, I don't (really) drink.

Also, hi!

Hi!

I think I hate Vegas, but I've never given a decent shot. Sounds like a great place to go with a nice, high, immovable budget. One day, maybe. I've spent way too much time recently thinking about lifestyle and it's very confusing.

Just watching an American's Test Kitchen where they cook low fat, and the host is so unenthusiastic. They slipped a full fat ice cream in the ice cream test, and he totally homed in and could barely recommend anything else. His compliments for the brownies...well, it took him a bit of time to loosen up.

They're so cute.

More ATK before bed...they just evaluated hot chocolates in a separate show, waxing about gums and emusilfiers and the like.

How do you guys do your hot chocolate? Swiss Miss or other mixes? Ever since I actually found where they shelved the Droste, hot chocolate is dutched cocoa whisked in a small pot with hot milk and sweetened to taste (which would be none). It's the recipe on their box...
