We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

They were talking about that criminalsearches.com site on the radio this morning, and apparently, it is notoriously inaccurate, in that it adds convictions to those who are innocent, or doesn't list ones for felons who've served time.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

a similarly-colored coworker got a "burn" that actually looked like a nice tan.

Then why call it a burn? Did it still hurt?

I totally overgorged on the lemonade and feel awful. And my stomach is making rumbly noises. Very professonal.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm wearing my new merlot shoes (AIFG).

YAY.

I'm going to have to return the peekaboo shoes-- they do weird things to my toes.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

oops, funny how the day can get away from you--I mean from me. Called a plumber on a neighbor's rec and he came right away(!) AANNNND he didn't charge too much(!). I think we found a new plumber. That's my news for the day.

But that's not why I came to b.org. I came to say that my Trashy Diva dress just arrived and it's very stylish but I kind of wish I had followed my instinct about how it would look on my figure. My wee C-cups don't do the dress justice, I need, er, double Ds to properly fill out the bust on the dress. Oh well.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

From the criminalsearches.com site:

Some states include minor traffic offenses in the data that we receive; however, these people might not be actual criminals.

Wait, what? I mean, yay! I'm not a criminal!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

They were talking about that criminalsearches.com site on the radio this morning, and apparently, it is notoriously inaccurate, in that it adds convictions to those who are innocent, or doesn't list ones for felons who've served time.

Yeah, I looked up two people I know, one a definite convict, one a probable one, and neither came up.

Then why call it a burn? Did it still hurt?

Yes, it still hurt. And I guess it was a slightly pinker brown than she would have liked to be, but really it looked fine.

I sometimes wonder what it would be like to be the kind of person who tans and who can therefore distinguish between getting some sun and getting too much sun. I have never ever had a tan ever, but I've had a few sunburns.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Super good day today. Play date at the park was fun. Yoga was good and Brigitta, a woman I used to practice with regularly, reappeared! Got to the post office and Porto's for Potato Balls and Tres Leches cake.

We went to the farm this weekend and picked raspberries and bought the most beautiful pint of strawberries which I plan on eating with the cake. And we bought heirloom tomatoes which I stuffed with ricotta and diced chicken and basil and baked. Delish.

Yay food!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I battled the pigweed and won. Despite the name, it's not actually that ugly of a plant for what is technically a weed, but it's the season where it grows and grows, and had pretty much obstructed the walkway to the side of my house, hence the need to take clippers to it. Now I can put out the garbage without pushing my way through the bushes.

Pretty much not accomplished anything else of note today.
