My newish toilet is also an American Standard Cadet and it's from Home Depot. It turned out to be so much better than the old toilet that I became much more cheerful about spending the money.
Seriously glad none of that's my job. Equity, what equity, but at least I don't have to buy a toilet!
we just did the dishes in a tub and dumped the water in the back yard
You know recycling gray water is all the hotness right now! You were just ahead of your time.
Oh no! I'm sorry I broke you toilet.....wait, that was years ago! Is it doing the same scary neverending flushing? Somehow, no toilet with a kid in residence is even worse.
I'm glad Plei was able to give you advice!
I spent today spending money. BUT! I now have a backup drive that I'm actually using, a usb hub so I can get some of these wires under control and have connected my old computer to the new and transferred stuff. I didn't do a whole migration, since some stuff I don't care about. But got my old apps and docs and everything and got that computer off my table. To sitting on a box in the corner. But it is a start! I'm waiting to hear from the brother whether he'd prefer to wipe it himself since he has more recent OSes.
happy birthday Kat!
On one of those documentary series about how things are made, they visited the Kohler factory. I hadn't known that most toilets are made out of ceramic, which means they have to be cast and fired and glazed, so they have these IMMENSE kilns to do that.
And then to see if they were molded correctly, one of the workers goes down the line of freshly-fired toilet bodies and taps them each with a tiny hammer. If they ring like a bell, they're sound.
Ooh! I've been to that factory and the attached museum - they have some really crazy stuff there. Also some stuff that makes me want to have bags and bags of money.
Totally apropos of nothing, the two girl dogs (each 50+lbs) are playing a game of tug-of-war/keep away/I'ma chase you all over the house gimme the toy now with a lavender Wubba.
It is easily one of the cutest, most hysterical things I've ever seen.
Or it could just be I'm wicked tired that's making this so funny.
Enh, I don't mind the having to buy a toilet thing. - was even planning for it. - just wish it was not right now. We just bought a new brace, had to out of pocket the medical insurance deductible for therapy, just paid off Spring Break and have half of a summer rental to cover in the next month. I guess it is always something.

grr it really is. Sorry you can't get the stuff you wanted to get done when you wanted to get it done.
Happy Birthday, Kat!!!
