Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Rum??? Vanilla??? Cream???? Why do I only learn this now?

Still, mine took about an hour to solidify.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Matilda's been in 12-18 months forever but is slowly, slowly edging up into 18-24 and the smaller 2Ts. More or less. Apparently baby and toddler clothing is just as crazy and random with the sizing as adult--she still has a couple of 6-9 month jackets and onesies that fit. We'd be delighted to take anything too small for Liv.

Ok. So Noah and Grace BOTH fall into that model of being in clothes forever. Though today Grace wore a gymboree veggie dress and I think it was the first time she was in a 12-18 months and it fit. Noah needs 12-18 month pants because of his big ole belly, but they are all extra long and almost manpris on him.

Had a flat tire today due to a bolt in the tire. Gotta get it fixed tomorrow.

Was the flat tire right after "lunch" or did you manage to get nearer home?

I managed to find my registration sticker. I had stored it in my glove compartment. In December. Flake.

Clafouti verdict: Jesse's recipe is just on the edge of how much egg flavour I can take. So I dressed it with rum cream. But damn, those hot cherries are tasty! I wish I were still hungry. Any other good hot cherry desserts?

Now tagless for your comfort.

I wish I had more cherries. I made two pies with the ones off my sister's tree. I'll have to plan ahead for next year's harvest.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Stephanie, Frisco is such a pretty little boy! mmm, he's delicious. And Barb, your daughter is lovely.

WRT kids' clothes: I have a bag of stuff for you, Kat, for both Noah and Grace (but the Grace stuff won't fit for a while). And I have a bag of other assorted dresses and outfits that Frances has outgrown. I donated a few big bags to JWC, but saved the nicest stuff since I knew I'd find takers here. Feel free to contact me if you're interested.

That pig kinda freaks me out. He doesn't look like a monkey, he looks like an ogre.

I am so tired, a combo of not much sleep and having to fast until about noon. Ooof.

I have a pint of fresh raspberries that I need to do something with. Would they work in a clafoutis?

Scratch Clafoutis, I have no rum.

Why is the rum gone?

ION, Priscilla is on Logo right now!

I don't think raspberries hold up as well with that kind of cooking (hence no raspberry pie).

However, you could mash them up with a little sugar, heat them and pour them over vanilla ice cream and that would be ridiculously delicious.

Thanks, Hec. The kids have been eating a few of them, but they're not quite sweet enough for me (they must be early up here).

I do have some blueberries, though, which are perfection.

I'm in fruit heaven at the moment with peaches, blueberries and raspberries. It's small consolation for the end of the strawberry peak.
