Dawn: I think a date should be in a real fancy restaurant, then champagne at a night club with a floor show, then ballroom dancing. Joyce: Unfortunately, we're not dating in a movie from the thirties.

Our wings are not tired.

I'll be honest.

I wish I had reason to be the recipient of Buffista-hand-me-downs. :(

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Matilda's been in 12-18 months forever but is slowly, slowly edging up into 18-24 and the smaller 2Ts. More or less. Apparently baby and toddler clothing is just as crazy and random with the sizing as adult--she still has a couple of 6-9 month jackets and onesies that fit. We'd be delighted to take anything too small for Liv.

It’s Botox for You, Dear Bridesmaids

Where does the NYT find these people? The Style section is always crammed full of one article after another about them, although they resemble the actual humans I know in almost no way at all (they're bipedal, so I guess there's that).

“Not dead yet!”

JZ, I'll check through the many boxes and see if I have anything of Abby's I can bring you for Matilda.

My baby girl is TEN! And has a very definite dress sense these days.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Swap a roo sounds fun!

I have discovered a young man at work who reads the same kind of old detective novels as I do, and I have been reading them on the bus and then giving them to him. It is really great because it is helping me declutter, and it helps to find someone who enjoys Rex Stout and John Dickson Carr etc as I do.

Trust my rage

Cash, Ellie is just now in 3T. In fact, she still wears mostly 18 month shorts (thank goodness it's warm here because there are no long pants that fit her). I'll look and see what I have but it will be slim.

However, Matilda will luck out because Ellie wore 18-24 for a long time (in fact, that's the stuff that I just put away). It might look a bit more used since she wore them so long, but I'll send the cute stuff.
