Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

But there has to be more to the story than that...

Ummm... I thought I was walking through an open door, when in fact the door was 3 feet to my left?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So it wasn't two guys carrying a plate glass window across the street or anything? Oh weel.

Were you at a Starbucks? The one by my house has a doorway set up that is positively made for that. People apparently slam into it all the time, latte first.

Nope. Dunkin Donuts. Actually, I almost walked into the same window about 6 months ago. When you leave the place, you walk through one door into a little vestibule, and then the door to the outside is off to the left. I must have been assuming the outer door was directly in line with the inner door.

I think my poor depth perception was part of the problem....

Nope. Although I did fall into a produce stand. OK, not really.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Be careful, tommyrot!! I walked (well, ran while chasing my sibs) into/through a glass door when I was a kid, and did more damage to my glasses than my body (scraped up knees and gouged out glasses).

Happy birthday, vw!!

Happy anniversary, Barb!!

My dad called last night to invite himself up to my place on Sunday (we've been trying to coordinate a day for him to bring up some shelves he's made for my apartment), so I have loads of cleaning to get done in the next two evenings.

That's the sweet kind of stuff he does for me--makes me things!! He's made me a bedroom suite (bedframe, chest of drawers, and side table), a foyer table, two bookshelves, a jewelry box, and a chessboard, and now a few hanging shelves for my knick-knacks so my cat doesn't bat them around. I was thinking about putting in a request for a computer desk next...

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I think my poor depth perception was part of the problem....

Probably part of it, but I've seen places with exactly the design you're describing, and it happens all. the. time.

But your fault or not, I'm glad you and the glasses are mostly okay!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Tomorrow: Do everything that has to be done before husband leaves, like finish cleaning out the house and his office.

Sunday: Husband leaves. I possibly inspect our current house, which should *fingers crossed* be newly painted and carpeted. Then I spend the rest of the day somewhere with free wireless.
