Jayne: We was just about to spring into action, Captain. Complicated escape and rescue op. Wash: I was going to watch. It was very exciting.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I'm so sorry, Burrell.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Maybe crocs taste like chicken?

My computer has decided not to crash for like 4 hours now. I'm beginning to think that it might be "cured." :: knocks wood ::

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm sorry, Burrell. What they all said about fucking cancer.

Swouncing

Try to get some sleep.

Well, if you suddenly see a post with my name on it containing "ljiiiiiiiid;fsdliepw, akewlkd" you'll know I fell asleep on my keyboard.

Um, but not this post. There are sense-making letters all around the "ljiiiiiiiid;fsdliepw, akewlkd" stuff.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Burrell, I'm so sorry to hear you got bad news about someone you care about. I wish you and your loved one the best possible outcome, whatever that may be.

Nilly! I'm sorry you're working so late, but it is nice to "see" you.

Kristin!

I'll hopefully catch up on my sleep on shabbat. No rest for the belated-in-their-deadline, or something.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Thanks for the heads-up. I would've assumed you'd gotten a cat.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

For physics geeks: A New Take on Warping Spacetime

As in warp drive. As in faster-than-light travel. The article discusses a recent paper on how it might (in theory) be possible. It involves messing around with higher dimensions....

eta:

How fast might a warp-driven spacecraft go? Obousy and Cleaver work out an upper limit on such a velocity (based upon quantum field theory) of 10^32 c, c being the speed of light. Mind boggling to be sure, but tempered by the fact that the energy required for such a velocity is significantly greater than that available in the observable universe. Another of those ’small problems of engineering,’ as Robert Forward used to call them…

Stop being so hard on my Nilly! Isn't rest from the everyday routine the whole point of shabbat?

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm sorry, Burrell.

Dinner was grilled salmon (with lemon slices), grilled zucchini(with a bit of olive oil and Mrs. Dash) and grilled corn on the cob (coated with butter, cinnamon and brown sugar).
