or you could finish the Tufte book and then send it to me....
It's the perfect bits and pieces book. I could be reading it for YEARS. I see from an insert where you can pay $320 for a one day course of his that includes his big three books, which is certainly nothing at which to sneeze.
but you might need second breakfast later
Yeah, I sense a crash and burn in my future for sure.
Go Wednesday go! I expect the board to be properly motivated by the time I return in an hour or so. My knees ache and I have more walkthrough to do, so I will need to be ganking the mojo.
Happy Birthday, Dana!
Happy Birthday, Ellie!
There was a H2O main break this morning so I am without coffee or shower at work. IOW: Gronk-Zzzzz.
I'm hoping Obama will offer the Vice Presidency to me. (Hey, the Obamas sent me a Christmas card once.) I will then focus on building the Department of Cats.
Post of assorted topics:
I think amych recently did the one-day Edward Tufte course.
Every time he hears Barack Obama's name on the radio, Peter now says, "Rock O Mama!" It is both adorable and makes me feel like a rock star somehow.
Happy Birthday to Ellie!
Has anyone been moved by the kind of movers who pack for you? The US Govmint is moving us to Athens and this is apparently what they do. I am alternately thrilled and afraid.

I did, with several coworkers. We all came back even bigger dorks than we were before, with a tendency to bitch loudly about bullshitty clipart in powerpoints.
I have no experience with movers other than the kind you bribe with beer and pizza.
I have used bullshitty clipart in powerpoints. I figure if you're committed to the evil that is powerpoint, why not go for the bullshitty clipart?
Our last movers packed up electronics (i.e., the TV), framed artwork, and clothes for us. It was okay.
I'm pretty sure the US Gov't's moved Raq several times.
Time to go get buried in work.

Yes, several times when other people were paying for it. If there's something breakable that you really love, pack it yourself. If you do, though, they won't insure it. Pack valuables like jewelry, irreplaceable pictures and your grandmother's teapot separately and take them with you. Be prepared to find that the movers have packed the trash. Be sure you check everywhere before they leave, or you'll find they didn't pack a whole closet. My suggestions are colored by the fact that I've found movers to be an untrustworthy lot. YMMV.
Not good work news from a leaked memo. Fingers crossed that any RIFs that hit the NY office bypass me. Not sure when announcements might start coming down. Of course the head office is denying the report.
