Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Um, Sue? I think the camera is broken...

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Bishop's normal enough that I've worked with one or two of them.

Lillian's in class with a Sparks and a Ransome. Names these days. Sheesh.

Nilly, did you know that all of Dr. Horrible is now up on something called Whedontube (or at least it was)? Since you were avoiding the Buffy/Angel thread, I thought I'd mention the next time I saw your font in a timely manner.

Um, Sue? I think the camera is broken...

Sadly, it isn't...Don't you see a little bit of shoreline in the foreground.

Yeah, that's crazy.

Also crazy is the voicemail I just got from a headhunter because I had been "highly recommended" for the position of Executive Director at an arts education organization that recently opened a big new facility. Seriously? I can't imagine anyone who actually knows me would rec me for something like that -- it's well out of my area of expertise.

Swouncing

Frank, thank you for the heads up! And no, I had no idea. I had no idea a site like that existed at all, as a matter of fact.

However, due to religious reasons - it's a period of three weeks of mourning customs going back to the destruction of the temple more than 2000 years ago - I try to avoid music as much as possible right now. And definitely music I've been looking forward to ever since seeing the first two parts. So seeing the third part, in whichever way (and I'm sure I will), will, alas, have to wait.

And, frankly, I'm a bit OK with that. I mean, thinking back, that fabulous song who opened the second part had a line in which Billy sings about how the darkness in him will be the only thing that would remain, or something along these lines (combined with Penny singing the word "glow", of course, because the back-and-forth between the lyrics in that song was so lovely), and the last song in that second part hinted at just that. And so I'm pretty sure (no spoiler, pure speculation) that the ending will not be a happy and good one, at least for some, and it's quite OK for me to live in a world where I don't have to be sad for those adorable little characters just yet.

Or maybe that's the rationalization I give myself.

Do they maybe concentrate on southwestern art with cowboy themes?

Huh, I was going for a blast from the past at the panda-cam, and I think I just saw panda sex. That or grooming, but it was really hard to tell (and I really didn't need to know that bad).

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, I've got problems, but nothing like Giuliani's son.

Rudy’s Son Sues College For Cutting Him From Golf Team

Good lord: “The son of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani is suing Duke University, claiming he was wrongfully kicked off the golf team. Andrew Giuliani claims he was dismissed without cause from the golf team earlier this year because coach O.D. Vincent III wanted to cut the team of 13 players by about half. The lawsuit claims the coach has interferred with Giuliani’s efforts toward becoming a professional golfer.” That basically says everything that needs to be said. Enjoy your annual divorce ritual in adulthood, Andrew.

From SFGate:

The 198-page lawsuit was filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court by Durham attorney Robert Ekstrand. Ekstrand did not immediately return a message for comment.

It takes a long time to say "wah wah wah."
