Buffistas- I need a professional word/wording for 'Deal with'.

As in "Assures student check in is properly staffed and (deals with) exceptions such as lack of payment or registration difficulties."

basically I am trying to say that I am a manager- so I sort of stand behind check-in and deal with any crazy weird problems. (this is sort of a lie because I have no staff, but still...)
