Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hey ita, I've seen a number of blogs discuss this knife: [link]

The "WASP Injector Knife" secrets a CO2 canister in the handle which, when a small button on the hilt is triggered, injects a blast of 850psi gas through a channel in the knife's blade, inflating the target with a painful and debilitating pocket of gaseous pain. It's being marketed towards scuba divers, although I'd be too terrified of accidental discharge to carry it myself, let alone try to get into a cutting match with a shark.

The rapidly expanding gas is supposed to freeze internal organs. Ouch!

Does this sound feasible (eta: as a weapon when fighting a human) to you?

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

OK, kind Buffistas. When I'll once again visit US, remind me to go and check that store, because looking at the dresses making my mouth watering, K?

(I have to say that the dress I recently got is somewhat along the lines of it. Not all things (the straps, for instance, and the part where it goes wider is a little bit higher than the waist), but it resembles some of the features).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dude. They just let Remington Steele get away with making a profit at car theft. Bad Steele.

I love getting to watch every single episode of various series. Especially this much later on. It was fun the first time round, casually, but now it's all "Hey! It's Buffy's mother!" Why do they kiss with more tongue in the 60s than the 80s? Oh, right.

Long sleeves are so early 20th century, ita.

If I were a little more obsessive I'd take pics of the ones this character from Foyle's War V wore this week. Beautiful variation: one sheer and blousey, another almost jacket weight...crave crave crave.

The obi dress is beautiful. But alas, I'm cheap.

You don't have to be cheap to not want to drop $330 on a dress that's not even fancy fancy. Or did I just wake up cheap too?

Hmm. Now I want a web site that details the "rules" for what constitutes black tie, casual, white tie, etc. I iz a little sad at the blurring of the lines, even if it means it comes with more freedom.

Which reminds me I haven't worn a corset to work recently.

Depends on the speed of the discharge. Knife fights are very fast. I wouldn't want to hang out with my knife in situ to press the button (or even, really, press it first) and wait long enough for an effective amount of gas to be released. And it's only on that one surface so you'd have to be slashing in that one direction to have a good shot (or you're blowing out the way you came in).

Off the top of my head.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I bought the black Trixie (yay!), but I really, really wanted this one: [link]

How gorgeous is that? And half price!! I need a fairy godmother. With a Swiss bank account.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I geez. I wish I could pull this off. I feel like buying it, putting it in my closet, and waiting until self esteem kicks in.

Dammit. I just bought the polka-dotted Trixie. The other thing that I wanted most that was almost doable was this. It's not black after all. Nor blue. Bias cut. Silk. Wine. ::glurgh::

Watching The Closer. Man, I wish there was a different female lead. I do like their scripts. But she just doesn't do it for me.

Okay. No more clothes ever. I just stopped by Ann Taylor Loft's sale. I needed those tops, I swear. As long as my next job is business casual...

Well, if it's not I'm fucked anyway.

That's a solid plan. Maybe you could even fake it sometimes until then, for practice.
