The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

meara, most of the discussion seems to be in the Buffy & Angel thread.

information libertarian

Thanks to the Smart Bitches, I have spent about an hour this morning watching various versions of the haka, mostly the All Blacks (rugby team) [link] but I found a few good non-rugby ones: [link]

Need to stop cavorting around the house slapping my thighs and sticking my tongue out now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So awesome. It's like West Side Story, only more believable.

Also, I have determined that the reason my bedroom has not been very cool is that the air conditioner isn't working very well. I realize this should have been more obvious sooner. Anyway, it's a window unit I bought cheap 9 years ago. I should just get a new one, right? Ugh!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gonna try to sell a bunch of books to the local used bookstore, then pick up a hold at the library. Tonight we go see Rush at the Nissan Pavilion.

Books and rock'n'roll. Good day.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Do you change and/or clean your filters, Jesse?

I don't think I can get it out, the way my windows are set. But maybe it's worth pulling the unit out of the window and doing that. Cheaper than a new one, anyway!

It was here we were talking about lobster, right? I just had a hilarious conversation with my grandmother about (a) how she and my parents divided up a Legal Seafood lobster and chowder meal for two among the three of them (she takes the bodies) and (b) how she likes her lobster roll -- in the real New England hot dog bun, not too much mayo, no other crap. Apparently Jasper White had celery AND cucumber AND lettuce AND too much mayo in his, and she was NOT impressed.

“Not dead yet!”

I'm sitting in an audition. Some of these parents skeer me, y'all.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Haka is the awesome! I love the youtube of the All Blacks vs. Tonga, because Tongans do something Haka like. [link]

And I think UH's football team (undefeated until bowl time) did a Haka at the beginning of each game.
