Oh dear god. My brother's story is front page on Michelle Malkin's site. Some person managed to dig up my brother and SILs PO Box, and is posting it claiming we need money. We don't. In fact, I need to return some money paypal'd to me.
My parents are adamant about not taking a dime, they don't want any appearance of impropriety, and they have the means to help my brother.
I emailed Ms. Malkin asking her to remove the post.
I don't know what the best way is to keep it from traveling. Should I blog it?
ETA: She wrote back and is redacting the address. Whew!
Whew, Allison!
And crap, I am so sorry you and your family are faced with this.
I just want your nephew and niece to have the normalist life possible. I totally get the independence thing. Lord, were it my boys I'd be freaking out. I vote for people who wanna help somehow buying random kids in the area memberships to museums. Or donations to your local kids shelter. (I'd say House of Ruth, but that is me-local . PIck your own local!)
I amnow watching and posting about project runway with my sister -- even thought I am not watching
sarameg - Pain Paranoia is so much worse than actual pain. I'm sorry. Also, great idea.
Allyson - what can I say, but AAAHHHHHH. I'd go ballistic if someone would have post online private information of me (such as PO Box, phone #, pictures) without my permission.
Yay shrift for Google!
In other news: dear day, please go easy with me.
Edit: also, a wondering email about "why the hell did I send you all of the files again this year if you're rejecting me this year based on the test results I got last year" was sent to the cadet program I was trying to get into. I just wanna get an an answer to why was I wasting my time, and much more important, good will. It doesn't grow on trees, dammit.
Yipes Allyson, this must feel so surreal.
I just wish I was home, curled up next to my nephew and his million and one MUST HAVE bedtime toys, and listening to him snorfle in his sleep.
Whoah. I'm kinda dizzy with the catchup read. Can't quite separate it all out, but my thoughts go out to Drew and his family. It's good that your father made it back to his home.
Congratulations on the Google in-person interviews, shrift. Mine turned out surprisingly technical, but I think you're better set up for that kind of fastball.
Allyson, good that your family got the redaction.
Skipping in order to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is juliana's birthday.
Happy birthday, juliana! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!
