• A robot, specifically a big, wide robot, may not pretend to be a refrigerator and then make a scary noise when a human being opens it.

I think 3 to 4 years old, not exactly sure—old enough that she can run fairly rapidly up and down stairs on her own. It's not constant, but she does have bouts of shrieking for brief intervals several times an hour from morning to about 11 at night. She's not crying or sobbing or arguing with her parents, they're multiple sharp shrieks like Newt from Aliens, one after another. Something like autism or some form of retardation does seem likely to me—I'll ask the building managers about it the next time I see them.

Ah, so it's not tantrums then. And she does this daily? In that case I'd say that while intermittent loud shrieks are not, in and of themselves, unusual in a 3 to 4 year old, they aren't the kind of behavior you want to encourage as a parent. You've seen her, my guess is your hunch about her developmental issues is good.

Yeah, they're doing a 5 day streaming window online (during which time you can also buy it on iTunes if you live in the US), followed by DVD sales. To make their money back, obviously.

Guess who had a very interesting night.
It started with an early birthday present and mutual day dreaming. Excellent.
Continued with meeting my ex-best-friend, who I wasn't in touch with for the past 2 years. Among many other shiny things, he's now out of the closet. Big jaw dropper (happy and excited for him, but wow!).
Finished now, with me reading my eamils and seeing that they rejected me from the cadet program I wanted to get into. Without testing me this year at all. Yes, they just took my test results from last year and figured out that I won't make it this year as well. NO SHIT, morons. Why did I send you the mountain of files this year again? Right, so I'll be able to reapply and get tested again. No, I didn't think that after raising the standards from last year I'll pass, but you didn't even give me the chance. That not only hurts, but also completely waste of my time and good will.

I'm gonna be grumpy at bed, staring at the early birthday gifts, wake up tomorrow morning and write them a "wtf?" email back. Mountains of paper work, people. Seriously. For getting another rejection.

The last couple days or so the spam has included a large number of fake headline emails. I appreciate the effort to amuse me prior to deleting. Haven't seen past the subject so I don't know if they are selling drugs or mortgages.
