Aren't they something. They're like butterflies, or little pieces of wrapping paper blowing around.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Oh Allyson, that's terrible. I totally understand that rage.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Kat, what did the school police say when you reported the thug-kids?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Oh, Allyson. Wow.

God, I feel for your brother. I would have done some damage myself. I hope everything turns out fine. I think most people will be pretty empathetic to this.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Even if the charges do stick, it's very unlikely he'll get more than a token slap on the wrist. Public opinion is so far on his side, and for excellent reason. I'm so sorry.

Yeah, that would be my guess -- but really just a guess.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Oh my god Allyson! I am so sorry. I have no words.

If it had been a case where someone was assaulting your brother directly, and he punched them, wouldn't that be self-defense? What about when you're defending your 4-year-old kid, who clearly isn't physically big or strong enough to defend himself against an adult?

....I guess I think in terms of what's fair, not what's necessarily legal.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh shit, Allyson. I'm sorry. Yeah, I am not the type to hit another person, but I can totally understand your brother's response. I think most people can.

And boy do I get your own reaction--I'd want to be with my family too at a time like this. But perhaps wait to see what they need, and to see what you can best do for them.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Oh Allyson. Honey, I wish I could do something to help you.

If going home to Boston right now would help, I say catch that plane.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Public opinion counts, and the public is going to be outraged on behalf of the child and sympathetic to his father.

I just regret that any of this has to be public, but if it gets that old menace away from the possibility of doing it again, in whatever measure, it may be worth it.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh dear, Allyson! I can't imagine how any parent would do anything else. If it had been DH I know he would have beat the crap out of the creep.
