Well, they can hire 10 new sluggers now.
Unfortunately they still have to pay him. That was such a terrible contract, and it's not like no one predicted it. If only the guys from USS Mariner and Lookout Landing could take over the team...
If you're like me and need to start saving money, then Lean Cuisine it. (I'm looking at the weekly flyer for the grocery store online right now and making up my shopping list for the weekend. My big debate is do I splurge and get the Rainier cherries that are on sale for "only" $4.99/lb or no?)
I love that Zambrano, in addition to being a hell of a pitcher, is also such a good batter that he's currently batting for Pitcher #2 (who's being yanked after only 1 1/3 innings), even though since he pitched a great game last night, there's no chance in hell he's going to pitch any today.
ION, I'm starving and can go downstairs and be tempted by all kinds of yummy food
Yummy food!

Do you have a Farmer's Market nearby? it seems like you could get local cherries there (if they are in season like here) and they'd be cheaper than that anyway.
I'm a food problem solver! (OR problem creator...either way)

Yes, because the season is limited and cherries are delicious! And that sounds cheap to me, I'm used to paying more than that per pound.
I'm having a pretzel and iced tea for lunch. Yum? It's exactly what I had for breakfast. I did have a cup of chili in between.
Unfortunately for me, the only local farmer's markets are all on Saturday mornings, and I can never get up early enough to get over there and do some shopping, bring the food home, and still get to the bookstore to work by 8:45.
I guess I'll add the cherries to my list, because I do love some good fruit, especially cherries. Frozen fruit is also on sale, so I'm going to stock up on some packages of blueberries and other fruit for smoothies this summer. Oh, and nectarines and peaches are only 98 cents/pound!
I neglected to mention the pretzel and iced tea are from exactly the same place.
Catching up, very very late:
Kat, that's appalling. I'm glad you called the school police on those kids, and only partly sorry you stopped K from tearing into them on the spot. Threatening Noah? Absolutely no excuse for it, none at all.
{{{Tamara}}} I'm so sorry for your loss. Your aunt sounds like an amazing person, and it sounds like her passing was about as loving and graceful as any of us could hope for; still, too soon and too sudden.
Also, Kalshane! Any new Mattias pictures?
ION, I had TJ's Indian food for lunch, and am completely unsatisfied. It was very tasty, it just wasn't enough. And our farmers market was yesterday, so I've already missed the good cherries. Also, my eye itches. It's okay if I just go home and eat a giant bag of chips and an apple, right?
