Punishingly Intricate

Happy birthday, sarameg! Definitely treat yourself today! Because you deserve it, not just to make your Mom happy! Although that is a worthy reason. After all, it's a big day for her too.

hip deep in pie

Due to an unfortunate zoning issue, I'll be working from home for the next while. Today is day 2. The cats seem to be appreciating it, but I'll miss having co-workers. It's also making me notice how very messy my apartment is.

I worked from home for a week and I loved it! You'll all have to arrange to meet for lunch every once in a while to catch up.

Sue - it's too bad that they didn't warn you. The vet told us they would be sending Frankie's prints - we got them late last week. All of us asked for one, so they sent about 7 prints in a nice card.

It was really sweet, and I guessed from the size of the envelope that it was a sympathy card, but I really wasn't expecting the paw prints. To be fair, I was out of that room pretty fast. It was just another one of those moments. I actually took his ID tag off his collar and put it on my keychain because I figured that otherwise I would run across it someday and get all sad again. And this way, if I ever lose my keys (knock wood), someone might actually call the number on the tag and I may get them back.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Brenda, a lot of ~ma.

My Italian-Egyptian CouchSurfer arrived. I just wish I would have been more awake to welcome her in a friendlier way.

Today's lesson: listening to Melvins won't make a headache better.

HATEFUL COMMUTE!

I did however repeatedly slam my body and elbow the rude inconsiderate woman who shoved me into mac in order to get her tacky ass person onto the already full subway. Then arm checked another man across the chest as he tried to shove me out of the way.

I have also injured myself by hitting the back of my hand against a metal name plate - tiny puncture type wound, swelling and insta-bruising.

Despite my attempts at budgetting I felt I needed a large-assed iced coffee after that. Thank dog today is BK day.

That's a great idea for a number of reasons.
