But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. And you found me broken. It's hard for you.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Arkansas Cage Fights Turns Gay, Crowd Goes Crazy: 'Bruno' Suspected

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Crowds in Arkansas came for the lure of cage fighting and $1 beer, but police say what they got instead was men ripping each others' clothes off and kissing _ a stunt suspected of being orchestrated by Sacha Baron Cohen of "Borat" fame.

"We had a contract for cage fighting. We were deceived," said Dwight Duncan, president and CEO of Four States Fair Grounds in Texarkana, where the first of two Arkansas fights raised suspicions last month.

...

An elaborate array of mounted and handheld video cameras caught the crowd of 1,600's reaction as the two men "went right up to the line" of the city's morality laws, Holland said. The two men stripped down to their underwear, kissed and rubbed on each other, the sergeant said.

The audience, as well as local fighters drawn to take part in the show, became enraged. "It set the crowd off lobbing beers," Holland said. "They had beers in plastic cups. Those things can get some distance on them actually."

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Also, St. Louis, MO, which the founders probably didn't expect people to pronounce, "Saint Lewis".

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Humm. They're showing La Traviata free in the park in Tel Aviv on Thursday, only I'm supposed to show my CSer Jerusalem that day (and I thought about taking her to see an outdoor screening of Princess Bride).

Dilemma, unless she hates free operas or The Princess Bride.

And if she hates The Princess Bride, I'm not sure I wanna host her.

But... free opera! In the park! So what if it's gonna be hot as hell?

Finished groceries shopping, and now compiling a list of the things I forgot + the buns that's awesome and fresh to pick up from the store in the morning. And then, cleaning. And then, getting back to the my arch nemesis Excel file. And I still want to watch a Buffy ep and read tonight (Innocent Blood, P.D. James, very very very good). Better start with the cleaning, then. Sigh. Evil Excel file.

I think I pronounce Lewis and Louis almost the same way. What am I missing?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Is Worcester generally pronounced "wooster", or is that a weird NE thing (we're also good at mangling French and Native American words)?

By the reverse, it took me forever to figure out when I heard "sinjun" on various BBC programs, it was "St. John".

Me too. I don't think it was until I saw a Jane Eyre production from PBS. Which may have been when I was 16.

Good lord, I hope no one say that typo.

I just realized I am wearing a skirt that I've had since I was 19. And that was 14 years ago. I guess it is sort of classic?

All my clothes wear out much faster than that.

Hmmm... wait, I think I have a few t-shirts that old.
