"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Today, my arch nemesis is an Excel file.

I can feel it sucking every shred of good will, hope and happiness out of me.

Big boss brought bagels.

Thank god. I was about to start chewing on the table and if he'd brought donuts, I would have had to choose the table. (I have no idea why I was hungry this morning.)

Ann, that's a ferret.

Better yet, she doesn't do that oh-so-annoying thing I've noticed many female Twinkies on 24-hour news shows do: announce the news with that little questioning inflection at the end of sentences? Because that makes them less threatening or more feminine?

I'll add the way she said, "Bushed!" on last night's show.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Blargh on the uptalk. If you want ask people what they think or aren't sure, use a freakin' qualifier.

I woke up too late to make it to the gym. I put on gym clothes and ran out the door, looked at the clock, and realized I'd only have 15 minutes before i would have to go home and jump in the shower for work. My day is thrown.

Hoping that working late means I can get out early and make it before it closes.

Art Crawl!!!

I used the last of my meds on Sunday - thinking that I could just call in and get a refill. Of course, I didn't even look at them yesterday (I was out of sorts and not wanting to go anywhere) so I tried refilling them today and realized that I am out of refills. I made an appointment with my doctor (for the 22nd) and then talked to the refill nurse: it could be 48 hours. Is it just in my head that I'm starting to feel odd? (It's bp meds and allergy stuff I am refilling.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Ha. Someone just let an f-bomb drop in the Tour de France coverage.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My folks live in Beaufort -- or I guess I should say in the surrounding area. Pretty place, not where I want to live

It is a gorgeous town, but boy howdy, was I being eaten alive by the bugs there! We ate dinner outside on the riverwalk, and the waitress brought out some Off to spray around the table and on us because the mosquitoes were so nasty. And it was only the first week of April--I hate to think what they're like right now! I only took those few pics of Beaufort the next morning because I had to retreat to the car to get away from them.

I'll add the way she said, "Bushed!" on last night's show.

I think that was because she'd been trying to imitate KO's deep drawl of the word in the past and could never match it, so she decided to go the opposite for effect.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Hi-larious -- who was it? I always get the feeling that they're barely controlling their normal profane ways on the air.

(Also, is today the first TT? I've barely been keeping up so far.)

Someone in David Millar's team car. I think he's on Garmin-Chipotle? They certainly sounded American.

Yep. They didn't start with a time trial this year.
