You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Sophia, your accountant is right in that the revenue should not be booked until the product is delivered (the class is taken), but that has nothing at all to do with when you charge the customer of collect the money.

You can charge upfront and the money goes into a balance sheet liability account (a temporary holding place), after the class is completed the money is then transfered to revenue on the income statement.

They are technically right about not classifying something as receivable until the product is delivered, but it has nothing to do with charging and collecting the money.

I'm sure that I have explained all this poorly.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Back from doctor. I wish he had a more convincing plan. But it's not like there are any competing plans. It's just that his involves ketamine.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

We don't actually even have to pack ourselves. But there was a whole plan of organizing things so it's not a disaster when the movers come. And getting rid of things we don't want to move.

Oh, and in completely other news, an interesting photo gallery of the presidential nominees (I love the last one, of Obama and his daughter Sasha in a bumper car), and a look at the fall 2008 Christian Dior couture collection, with some really gorgeous dresses.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's just that his involves ketamine.

Huh.

But there was a whole plan of organizing things so it's not a disaster when the movers come. And getting rid of things we don't want to move.

Well, so I guess you do as much of that as you can, and let the rest go.... Also, take deep breaths.

Is this a new doctor, ita?

No. I finally got him to explain his master plan, instead of getting incremental steps. Master plan takes big tools. But hey, if it works, it works. I'd hate to think I still had remnants of a migraine post-special-K.

Is it bad that I think that McCain is kind of hot this this picture. [link] I mean, it was 1955 and he was in uniform, but I still feel a little dirty.

God, I am so not looking forward to moving again.

the fall 2008 Christian Dior couture collection, with some really gorgeous dresses.

Yum. Although I'm not sure how that one mustard-colored dress fits in with the rest of his color palette there.

I love being in France when the collections are showing; the nightly news always ends by showing you the big collection of the day.
