Mmm, ice cream. Mmm, root beer floats.
My childhood ice cream memory is my mom, dad, and I going to the Beacon (somewhere in SC) and sharing a big banana split. My mom used to have me ask my dad so he'd be sure to say yes.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Yay more baby pics today! OMG, Kat made the PW cake thing! I don't have the patience for that sort of detailing. Which is why most of my food looks like a blender hit it.
I've a recollection my mug got busted at some point. I haven't seen it in ages, so who knows. I'll have to ask the parents when I next talke to them. (On my birthday, probably. Ack. I guess I should get takeout that night or something.)
I did make the PW cake. Now my tummy hurts. Too much butter.
I just had a root beer float AIWFG. Also, if anyone has Blue Bunny brand ice cream where they shop, the vanilla tastes *a lot* like soft-serve vanilla. To me, anyway.
Lots of baby pics up today! Enjoy. Little Man went to my friend's pool with me on Thursday, too.
Awesome cake, Kat!
she giggled her pants off.
That's a great picture of both of them.
I'm pretty sure my main A&W memory is the time my parents locked the keys of the rental car inside, maybe even while the car was running? Possibly in Wisconsin.
And tormented Kuma! Heehee.
God, they've gotten so big.
Oh yeah. We went to Dairy Queen a lot too. And there was this place in Shawano that had this humongous, four-scoop banana split. It was called the Pig's Dinner, and it came in a little wooden trough. Oftentimes the cry could be heard on the farm, "Dad, can we go to Dehns and get Pig's Dinners?"
I prefer all soda either in a can, or in old fashion coke-bottle kind of glass bottles. So I am always drinking "diet-coke-in-a-can" at work with another lady even though we have to go to another building to get it. I am thinking of bringing iin a 12 pack, though, to safe money. In college I used to ALWAYS has a 12 pack of diet coke in my car, until the time it froze and blew up. I have also had a bottle of red wine blow up in my car. Perhaps it is a good thing I am now carless.
I finally stocked the new apartment with food and did not buy either root beer or ice cream. Want.
Have not seen a BevMo nearby, will have to google to see if there is one around.
eta - No BevMo in Colorado. Sigh.
