The whole publicity thing with that just kinda makes me puzzled...it's not the first time that a trans guy has given birth. Didn't Pat Califia or his partner do it?? I guess he's just the first guy to seek out publicity and write about it and shit. Whatever.

Our wings are not tired.

Well, yeah. And also? So what. Now if he was born a guy and was surgically made into a woman and then got pregnant? That'd be news! But hello, people with female reproductive organs have babies every day!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes everyone. I had a nice, quiet day with TCG and my family.

Sue, I'm so sorry.

Brenda, tons of -ma for Lucy.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

it's not the first time that a trans guy has given birth.

Yeah, but it's the first time a trans guy who has been on Oprah has given birth.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

You know, it's not that I don't believe that a FtM could be a good parent -- it's that I have all kinds of skeevy reservations about a publicity-seeking FtM.

Huh, the board seems to have double-posted me -- I don't think I hit Submit twice.

I was all "ho-hum rainy Fourth, nothing to do" but then I remembered I have TWO invitations to go watch 1776 and sing along. I'm rich, RICH, I tells ya.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

...yeah, and when he has to have someone else pick up the flowers for him, clearly there are other issues. IJS. Yeah, busy, but...

Seriously. I'm annoyed that he gets all the credit for Allyson's idea AND effort!

I am excited because I woke up a little at 5:30 and remembered to turn off my alarm, so I slept til almost 9! Awesome.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I am jealous of Theo. I am helping (hopefully) finish re-doing the patio at T's house.
