Hey, I've been in a firefight before! Well, I was in a fire. Actually, I was fired from a fry-cook opportunity. I can handle myself.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

no one is allowed to flush any of the heads when someone is in the shower.

Hell, that describes every house I lived in on land until I was in my teens.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I never had my taxes taken out of my unemployement because I always considered it an arts grant and took the full amount and usually six months off. So my income went down and I didn't owe anything.

Heh. That SO would not fly in my state.

Yeah, the state of MN wouldn't allow that to happen either - everything gets reported.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

My office used to offer the option of the four ten-hour workdays during the summer. Did not work quite the way they expected - people would come in early and require time and copious coffee to get going. Then their brains would pretty much shut off at the usual quitting time. It ended up with people actually working fewer hours.

That's been discontinued for a variety of reasons.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've been watching the big-ass storm getting closer on radar. It's very dark here, but no rain yet. The worst of it might be going slightly north of Evanston at the moment.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sorry I'm late with the link, Steph: [link]

My brain shuts off an hour before quitting time. Obviously, Jesus wants me to work 7-hour days....

It just got a little bit lighter, but it's still raining and lightning out there, so I'm going to wait another few minutes before heading over to the bookstore for the evening.
