I have my own doctor's (well, NP/midwife) visit this afternoon, complete with referral for my first-ever mammogram since I'm now officially 40.
ack! I forgot about that aspect of turning 40 this year. I know it's not a big deal but mammograms Freak Me Out!
In other turning 40 news, my other friends who are also turning 40 have talked about getting monkey tattoos this year (cuz we are Year of the Monkey in Chinese astrology). Today I was thinking, maybe one of Lynda Barry's monkeys? There are some of them in this interview with her:

Yes, I had my first one last year (at 35), but it's because I have a maternal history of breast cancer. My breasts were, as we already know, spectacular ;)
