I noticed that, when I was in New Orleans for a while, my NY/NJ accent would get stronger. Like, I'd somehow start having aspects that I'd never had before, like pronouncing "car" as "caw" or using "youse." (I think the "youse" may have been a reaction against people telling me not to address a group that contained women as "you guys.")
I did much the same thing, my Australian accent got stronger after moving to the US.

It was a double bill of You Light Up My Life and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The fog was so thick we couldn't see the screen during the second show and left.
If it had happened during the first, I would suspect divine intervention.

I think it's probably the gelatin. When they do melt, it's more like jello thank juice.
They are very tasty, though, probably not vegan.

No sumi, I tend to go with slides, crocs, or sandals. I tend to think of shorts as functional rather than fashionable clothing.
