Bad Wolf

Thanks ChiKat,

I think I might look into it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sometimes you can taste the corn in the popcorn more than others. Good times, good times.

I think leaving my laundry unwashed all that time gave it a chance to breed. I'm about to iron a pink button down shirt I'm not sure I've seen before. But the breeding seems to have gone true to size so I'm going to act like there's nothing amiss and do tomorrow's site walkthrough in this new progeny.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

That was a helluva game. Triple overtime. Marc-Andre Fleury was the reason the Penguins won. Fifty-some shots and he stopped all but three. Otherwise Detroit dominated for the majority of the game.

Truly, I just want to see the Penguins lose. I'm tired of the "Sidney Crosby is the golden child of the NHL" mantra. There are other exciting--and more well-rounded players--out there. Like Alex Ovechkin and Mike Richards for example. Therefore I will continue to cheer loudly for the Red Wings.

The Federer/Belleteau match was pretty good too, considering. I understand there may have been basketball, but I dismember. It's probably best for Detroit that the Celtics beat the Pistons, since otherwise it'd be way distracting.

I think I may have scratched my cornea. This means I've got to go to an eye doctor, doesn't it? Or will the student health center doctor be able to deal with this?

(Not quite sure how it happened, but the past few days, every time I put my right contact in, it felt like there was an eyelash or something stuck under the side of it, even though I rinsed it a bunch of times and there wasn't anything there. And now, I took my contacts out hours ago, and it's still hurting and red and watery.)

Happy to say I've had beers 1, 5, 6, and 10 on that best beer names list. Yummy.

Hil, if I were averse to an eye doctor I'd start with student health. But I guess it depends on how soon one needs to start the first steps, and how complex and variable they are.

How cool! It's a playwriting competition for young writers where the winning submissions get polished with the help of professional playwrights and then professional actors (like Nick Brendon this year) perform them onstage, directed by professional directors.

That must be such a charge. Though I do wonder what it feels to show up and find out your story's being directed by Tiffani Amber Thiessen.

Yep. Game 1 (in Detroit) of the Stanley Cup Final coincided with a game of the NBA Eastern Conference Final (in Auburn Hills). Metro Detroit television ratings showed that viewers overwhelmingly chose to watch hockey over basketball. The only people interested in the basketball game were the ones in attendance.

I haven't watched any of the French Open yet. I'm still not over my extreme jealousy that my cousin is/will be in attendance at Roland Garros. I should really email her and find out when she's going.

Hil, the Health Center would probably be able to deal with it, but I'm not sure I'd completely trust them with my eyes. You can call in the morning and find out what their recommendation is before committing to a more expensive eye doctor visit.

Must go back and find the best beers list....

I think it would have been different if it were the finals, but I don't recall the recent health of the Redwings--is this continued good performance, or a turnaround?

OK. Guess I"ll go by student health in the morning and see what they recommend. I really hate dealing with my insurance with referrals to other doctors -- each appointment usually ends up requiring months of letters back and forth to get them to pay.
