Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Steph!

Oh, Kat -- I saw a kid the other day who looked just like Noah, except 3 or 4. Maybe it was just the hair, but I don't think so.

Also, I got 27/30 on that quiz. Not bad.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPH!!!!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I love George Carlin. I've been watching since he was on the Flip Wilson show. That's a hard one for me to take. He stayed funny for a much longer time than any of his peers.

I caught his last special for HBO, and he was still funny as shit. I will miss those semi-annual events for sure.

I remember him doing the Hippy Dippy Weatherman (was that Wilson, or was that all the way back to the Smothers Brothers?) as the first time I saw him. Then my sister played a record of his for me (when my parents were out). It was the one with "7 words you can't say on television". Hilarious.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The experts all said to let the baby put one handful of sand in her mouth, and she'll spit it out and not try it again.

Uh-huh. Spoken like a group of "experts" with no children of their own.

I'm not sure about sand, but I was eating dirt in the backyard up until I was at least 9 or 10. I just liked the taste.

27/30 on the quiz. Would have been 28 if I'd read the First Amendment question right.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

pretty decent for a Monday morning so far. Doing a lot the night before is so key to having a smooth morning. We got out early for a monday and I got 2 errands done before getting on the subway.

Now to see if I can swing the rest of the day being so productive.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I made it in on time, but now I feel trapped in my office -- I have to walk by the big glass wall of our conference room to get anywhere, and there's a board meeting in there. I have to pee! I guess I can walk by once.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Le sigh. Came back to not one but two "oh, you haven't heard of that assignment because I hadn't actually mentioned that project to you yet" projects. Why couldn't I have just stayed on vacation?

I'll second that. Very pleasent surprise, as my (3-day) weekend was kind of sucky (Major accomplisment out of the 3 days? Laundry. Woo?). The weather has gotten steamy without it being hot, which is a plus, but the steamy still inspires total lethargy.

Somehow I ended up at work at 8:30. It's odd. Won't know if/when I can take off the rest of the week until the end of the day.

Love the beachy Noah!
