Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

It had better be ice cream, because if it is just a "blow of steam group scream", I would feel extremely cheesed.

If it is this, I give you permission to bop people.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Guess what I had for lunch. Well, half of one. Well, a quarter and 5 bites.

Does the meat on a Po' boy have to be fried? I seemed to bump into that in New Orleans a lot, and my delicate little mouth can't handle those razor edges.

What Hec and j said. Though I love the fried crafwish ones that are piled so high the thing won't shut.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Weekend: WARPED!! Whoo!! (Though I was sort of counting on it not being as hot and/or sunny as it promises to be, and I fear for my fortitude. This will not deter me from the awesomesauce of the Cobras or Gym Class Heroes, however.)

Punishingly Intricate

I don't know about heartwarming, but it's odd and a little charming. Yay?

Both the photobooths I was in in Chicago are listed! awww! One wasn't working but we got a picture anyway [link]

I think I'm going to run out for some gelato! I should try to finish a little work before that though.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Weekend: Be happy that DH isn't at a conference for a change! Costco run, go to Target to get stuff AB needs for summer field trips (swimsuit, sun hat, flip-flops etc.), church, write. Reflect on how boring life is; vow to hire babysitter and go on real dates as soon as inheritance comes through in next month or two.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Bwahaha! That wasn't the link I meant to post. Oh well!

Hah! I was a little puzzled, cause that didn't seem "odd but heartwarming", or whatever you called it, but I did find it an interesting link nonetheless...
