Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Sneaking in under the wire to wish the fabulously beautiful and squeefully fannish Plei a happy birthday! I hope your day was filled with DA crack-fic.

Got my first lap dance tonight. She was pretty gungho for an amateur.

Maybe she liked you? Or maybe she just has natural talent...

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Took today off. This afternoon we head to NJ for Contata, the east Coast Filk con.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

For Jesse-

To make spectators, you have to have wing tip single color shoes. Then you mask out the parts you want to stay the color of the shoe, and the bottom of the shoes and spray it with leather spray, which you can get in a shoes store. I think it would be hard to find women's shoes in the wing tip pattern-- but for men it is really easy

My streak of "everything I touch breaks" continues.

Sigh.

It's this damned year.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

sara, PLEASE say it's not the A/C!

NO, work stuff.

I should be kept far from critical systems.

Punishingly Intricate

Also, Cheerio Boy in action.

Okay that's very cute, of course, but the one with him playing ball and laughing just totally made my morning. I had to add it as a favorite so I can go back and look (really, listen to it) when I'm feeling blue.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Does Serious Eats have a Buffista guest blogger?

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

breaking work stuff is less immediately life altering than lacking A/C.

Noah playing ball is super fun. He really likes it!

I think I'm walking to work this AM even though it's supposed to be obscenely hot today.

I'm stoked because I just picked up a coodinatorship of a PD series in the fall. They are doing one at my school, which I am not doing, and one at a very close to me local high school, which I think I will be doing. So good because it pays super well. This is the upside of having a job back in the classroom, I can go back to consulting/PD work.
