Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Happy Birthday Plei!

Today in my coworkers are insane: The eHarmony page for our ex-Group Manager (she's still here, just with a different title) is printed out on multiple sheets of 8x11-mosaic style and pasted on an entire wall in the cafe.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

That crop circle is awesome.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

After careful consideration, I've come to the conclusion that today is bad and wrong and a stupid poopyheaded day.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Folks in England have it rough: Gardeners warned slug epidemic this summer will be 'the stuff of nightmares'

They're slimy, they're hungry, and they're heading for your garden this summer.

Gardeners have been warned to expect an epidemic of slugs over the next few months.

The wet and mild weather throughout spring has made perfect conditions to create 'the stuff of nightmares' for gardeners.

Experts claim there could be up to 200 slugs per cubic metre of soil, four times the usual amount, with each capable of eating double their weight in plants each day.

The Zooillogix blog sez this:

The English are facing the slug threat with their characteristic stiff upper lips. Some are even looking to utilize the slug surfeit with such "splendid" culinary inventions as slug Wellington, bangers and slug and slugshire pudding.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Everytime I think Tyra Banks is just a windbag, I see a photo of her like this where she is achingly beautiful.

Burrell, absolutely! Before summer school... maybe next week.

Too cool! And also hilarious that it was caught on camera during a hysterectomy.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

My week has gone from busy to crazy - all good, but Sat Iwill be jelly.

Tuesday - Head of company in the offices and people are edgy. grandparents got here and we met for lunch and then they decided to make an unscheduled visit to our place for dinner (mac to bed late).

Wednesday - work was unexplicably busy with lots of people needing little things, but right away. picked up mac, fed him dinner, changed his clothes and came into Manahattan for grandad's concert. I thought the concert would be 1.5 hours, it was over 2. Home at 11pm.

Thursday - up and out of the house 20 minutes earlier than normal to get to brace office which is an hour away via train and bus. Originally get on wrong bus and waste almost 10 min. Get back to hood, get mac to school, get in to work at 10:50am, so no lunch break in order to get my 7 hrs in. Grandparents are picking mac up from afterschool and bringing him in to me so we can get to therapy tonight which will mean another late night for mac.

Friday - Do not even want to think what getting mac up for school is going to be like, I may bribe with promises of weekend junk food. drama program at afterschool at 6pm, tickets to baseball game with grandparents, uncle and friends that starts at 7 - earliest we can get there is 7:40. Earliest I think we can get home is midnight.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

This morning we found hundreds of pages from looseleafs (some from the stacks, some from reserve) all stacked up on a book cart willy-nilly with a note stuck on it that said, "Please do not touch, doing research." It's going to take some unlucky tech services student many hours of tedious labor to refile all those pages.

Oh.My.God. That person should be shot.

Working for one of those publishers of looseleaf reporters, I sooo feel for that student who's going to have to refile those pages.
