OK, I don't know Russert from adam, but NBC is doing a remembrance and they earlier mentioned he loved Springsteen. And it tickles me that they are using Springsteen as the musical background. That's just sweet.

I swear, this year is cursed. I try not to think that because I think doing so can be self-fulfilling. But so much shit completely out of my control has just gone to shit, I'm getting a little gunshy about 2008. It's all just happenstance, but christ.

I prefer temperate indoors- as long as I can moderate my temp with layers, I'm good. If I'm immobile from layers and hurting? Bad. If I'm near naked and have frozen peas on my head and I'm nauseous and sweating? Bad. Anything else is ok.
Outside? Well, I prefer it warm. Other than that, it can do whatever. As long as it is warm. And sun.
My brain stops working at about 95ยบ or so. I can always dress warmer when it's cold, but heat slays me.
Kids. They have complicated feelings and they don't know what to do with them. Unlike grownups, of course.
Something that occurred to me as I've read the posts, though I hate to give you more stuff to worry about, but if Emmett has ever heard of Buffistas and has any kind of internet access, he has got the greatest tool for fucking with his elders.
Reading about Emmett's meltdown and mac's therapy moment has made me a little verklempt in a good way. Y'all are good, loving parents.

2 AM and the whole house is asleep except for me. WTF?
I am awake too! I just finished reading the 1100 posts since I last read natter. I am really, really unsure why I read them all. And I have very little to add except that it's possible I have very dense bones, since I weighed myself on a friend's electronic scale last weekend (since I don't own one), and it said I weigh 191 pounds and that I am 43% body fat. I'm not real sure how that's possible, unless my bones are made out of titanium. (For the record, I'm 5'5" and I wear a range of sizes from 6 to 10. Usually an 8, though.) Or possibly there's something screwy with the scale. Also, I'm a terribly picky eater, and by all accounts have been one since childhood.
